stacker cups
Rey's new hobby or rather, obsession is stacking cups. He is quite persistant, always wanting to do better.

gatherings
with family
close friends
Before our trip back to Singapore for Rey's education, we had some gatherings with close friends and relatives.
Either the food is good or we're really hungry, it's the 1st time both of us finished up the flight meals.
Always get Singapore sling, it's free. I had 2, hehehe...

farewell!
Rey's three years in kindergarten has not been spent in vain. He's got to know some good friends and has an all-rounded preschool life, something that cannot be experienced in Singapore kindergartens. I'm so thankful for that.
These good friends planned us a farewell (cum birthday) party before we head back to Singapore for Rey's primary education which starts in January. I'm definitely going to miss all the chats and gossips we have at the bus-stops while waiting for the school bus.

Just can't wait!

I finally have the chance to watch 'Twilight' on DVD yesterday and I'm so infatuated with the whole story. Now I really can't wait for 'New Moon' to hit the screens in Singapore on 3rd Dec. I'm gonna read all the 4 books in 2 weeks! Someone take care of Rey for me while I immerse myself in the world of vampires!

A trip to Nijo castle
The Nijo castle is just 15 minutes walk from the house but Rey and I haven't visited it in the 6 years we live in Kyoto. So we decided to go right after his swimming lesson to visit a cool castle. I think Rey had expected the fairy-tale kind of castle with cone shaped roofs, knights guarding the gates, and maybe a sleeping princess for him to kiss? so he was quite surprised to see a different but still, a magnificent Japanese castle.
We toured the Ninomaru Palace where for security purposes, the floors of the corridors was constructed in such a way as to squeak like birds when anyone walks on them. There was a big group of big-sized European tourists walking before us so we could hear the endless squeaking of the floors. No photos are allowed in there so you can only see Rey in the garden and near the moat, which has the greenish water in Rey's favourite shade of green. It reminds him of his favourtie macha.

1 solved
One of the best movies and songs I have great impression of, that is, 5th element. I've always wondered if it's really humanly possible to sing that melody and after many years, I got the answer...

English
I: Look at your work! Your 'beautiful' is perfect but your 'powerful' has no 'r' and it's not 'flu', 'wonderful' has no 'o', 'playful' has no 'y', 'cheerful' has n o 'l'....
(I couldn't say anymore because I was laughing hysterically halfway. How can he be so careless?) 无话可说 !
---
I: Okay, so now you know there are many words that end with '--ful' like 'cheerful', 'playful' and so on, right?
R: yah, and 'stupid-ful'.
I: That is 'stupid FOOL' , lah!
(shake head)
