7th July is the Tanabata festival. We write wishes on tanzaku (短冊, tanzaku), small rectangular paper, and hang them on bamboo, along with some decorations that Rey made in school. Rey brought the bamboo shoots from school, reminding me to feed the bamboo shoots to pandas after the festival. Our wishes are quite similar.

Grandma: Rey can play alot.
