Universal Studio

Hi there! I gave myself a long break from updating. I was riding on the Yen's roller coaster ride and just when I thought nothing will change much in 1 day, I came back from USJ learning that the Yen has dived to a new low, much deeper than I thought it should have. I was devastated. Anyway, nothing gain, nothing lost. From now, I'm going to keep a closer watch on the Yen.

I brought Rey to USJ. Rey enjoyed himself alot but I was already immuned to the excitement of USJ. Afterall, this is our 3rd trip there, and I don't think I will visit there ever again.

Off to the Park!

Today is a great day for a picnic and rolling about on the grass. I made some chirashi-sushi bento and cycled to the park with Rey.

Humor or Sarcasm

Mummy: Hey, do I look nice in this?
Rey: It's beautiful!
Mummy: Thanks! (fluttering already)
Rey: I mean, the dress is very good because it can make ugly people look beautiful!

flea market

Yeah! I earned 15550yen in 1 day for the flea market! Most of the time I had succumbed to the aggressiveness of the bargaining housewives, parting with my stuff for lowly price. My heart still hurts whenever I think of my sold stuff *sob*. But anyway, old things sitting in the closet for like 5 years have to go, right?
Rey joined me at the later part of the day. "Wow! So much rubbish!" He exclaimed when he saw the stall. Yah, rubbish means money you know. Rey was born for entrepreneurship, I think. He shouted, "Irrashaimase! (welcome to my shop!)" like a fishmonger in the market, and I have to shut him up several times out of embarrassement.

sweet potatoes

I've been busy packing the junks, clothes, toys and books into luggage for my flea market stall. There's just so much to clear! If I manage to break even (3000yen) I'll be very satisfied. And if I'm lucky enough to earn big extra bucks, I'm going to bring Rey to Universal Studio again or if the profit is much more, maybe a trip to Tokyo Dsineyland!! I'm already counting the chicks before they're hatched. Anyway, hope it goes well!

These are the recent photos of Rey's field trip. Rey pulled out 9 sweet potatoes in all but he gave 2 to a friend who has lesser. Show you a video of Rey cutting sweet potatoes.

We made Sweet potato in coconut milk and Rey wrote the recipe too.

Mama, you are papa's slave!

I forgot why but one time I found myself explaining to Rey about slavery, about people who are very unwilling, but still have to do hard work for others.
R: What kind of hard work?
I: Washing clothes, doing some tough chores, cooking...
R: (in deep thoughts) So, mama you are papa's slave, right?
I: Me? Papa's slave? Never!
I couldn't stop laughing after that, but there's a bit of truth in that. Ah...self-pity.

Sports Day practice

Rey says he has to practise for his Sports Day tomorrow. This shows how the children will be marching into the field, following the teacher's whistle. F.y.i...in this video..rey whistled himself..
