Just can't wait!

I finally have the chance to watch 'Twilight' on DVD yesterday and I'm so infatuated with the whole story. Now I really can't wait for 'New Moon' to hit the screens in Singapore on 3rd Dec. I'm gonna read all the 4 books in 2 weeks! Someone take care of Rey for me while I immerse myself in the world of vampires!

The school celebrates birthdays of children born in October. Rey enjoys his few moments on the stage.

A trip to Nijo castle

The Nijo castle is just 15 minutes walk from the house but Rey and I haven't visited it in the 6 years we live in Kyoto. So we decided to go right after his swimming lesson to visit a cool castle. I think Rey had expected the fairy-tale kind of castle with cone shaped roofs, knights guarding the gates, and maybe a sleeping princess for him to kiss? so he was quite surprised to see a different but still, a magnificent Japanese castle.

We toured the Ninomaru Palace where for security purposes, the floors of the corridors was constructed in such a way as to squeak like birds when anyone walks on them. There was a big group of big-sized European tourists walking before us so we could hear the endless squeaking of the floors. No photos are allowed in there so you can only see Rey in the garden and near the moat, which has the greenish water in Rey's favourite shade of green. It reminds him of his favourtie macha.
