Our main motive of travel is to eat the famous food in the prefectures we are visiting.
For the past 5 days, we have been travelling on the bullet train to Tokyo, Sendai (up north, 2 hours), Utunomiya, Hiroshima (south of Japan). If you know the geographic location in Japan, you will know how crazy our schedule is. I'm proud to say now that I have travelled to Hokkaido (the northest part of Japan) and covered the whole part of Japan down to Kagoshima (south Japan). Rey is the most travelled 4 year old kid here.
Spent most of the time in bullet train. Rey was no longer excited about shinkasen...
While we stayed in Tokyo, we hopped over to Utunomiya (about 50 min) by bullet train, just to eat the famous dumplings. Utunomiya was the city where I had taught English and so much has changed in 4 years. New shops has opened in the station itself. W didn't eat the most famous MIN MIN dumplings but we were very satisfied with the restaurant we ate at. We also ordered 64 dumplings to be sent to our home in Kyoto. We spent our time eating for 1 hour before we head back to Tokyo.
At the Gyoza-kan. The restaurant we ate at. See the gyoza statue on the left.
Gyoza souveniers
Will show you the photos of dumpings we ate later, the pictures are in another camera.
